Monday, September 13, 2010: This year marks the 33rd Anniversary of the Honey Invitational Golf Outing. The Outing is a Sussex County tradition and funds raised benefit our local Sussex County charities. Honey Ackerman, the Tournament founder, believed that funds from this Outing should benefit women and children of our community. FOODSTOCK |
United Way of Sussex County, in partnership with the NJ Herald, Sussex Skyhawks and Pass It Along, sponsor the third annual communitywide food drive to be held at Skylands Park, Augusta, NJ. Rivalries have formed among schools, church and civic groups, businesses - to see who could collect and donate the most food to help restock food pantries in Sussex County, REVEREND BROWN SCHOOL won the contest with thousands of food items. A battle of the bands concert competition was held and the local band from Kitatinny High School repeated their win from last year PERFECT CRIME. |

The group led by Joe Keslo and Don Kovach from Sussex Bank raise funds every year for area charities including Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice and United Way of Sussex County. |

25th Annual Scholar Athletes Awards and Scholarship Banquet |
Each of 11 Scholar Athletes received a scholarship, ranging from $500 to $2,500. Ronetco Supermarkets sponsored a $2,500 scholarship, Mitchell Insurance Agency, $1,250 scholarship; Ruggiero Funeral Homes, $1,000 Scholarship, and Lentini Paving Contractors and Redi-Mix, $750 scholarship. Other Scholarship contributors were: Morville Agency, Sussex County Sports Hall of Fame, Perona Farms, Selective Insurance, Franklin Sussex Auto Mall, Inc., and McGuire Chevrolet Cadillac. |

BOOMR Bike on Old Mine Road |
Event was held in conjunction with the Old Mine Road Festivalheld on Spring Street in Newton. The scenic fall foliage tour through the pastoral setting of rural Sussex County attracted over 100 riders who were treated to a challenging course, breathtaking scenery and a gourmet lunch provided by Cheddar Alley on their return. |

The 27th Annual contest was held at Skylands Park courtesy of the SKYHAWKS and sponsored by WSUS/WNNJ Radio: Dr. Roland Johnson was remembered as the events co-founder along with Kevin Kelly, Esq. The Lawyers have the bragging rights for this year beating the Docs 16-14. United Way is grateful to all the Professionals in Sussex County who are dedicated to this event. |

27th Annual Joe Keslo Golf Outing |
The Annual Joe Keslo Golf Outing at Farmstead Golf and Country Club was held on a day of sunny skies and sunnier smiles. Thanks to Joe & Kathy Keslo and Sussex Bank (Terry Thompson & Buffy!), the committee and most of all, the golfers, sponsors and donors that make this event a great County tradition.

Foodstock |
Foodstock was held at Sussex County Community College Green. This county wide food collection resulted in more than 8500 items of food distributed among 14 Sussex County pantries. Followed by a Woodstock style event with 9 bands, the day included food, fun, talent and lots of good will. |
